AITF Voice

AITF Voice offers unique streamlined control of the computer exclusively via a voice interface. The product is specifically designed for people who cannot use keyboard or mouse.

The program offers full and direct mouse and keyboard control via voice commands. Full keyboard access is further enabled using on-screen keyboard.

Features

The program also offers built-in support for hands-free use of common programs such as:

  • Web browsers
  • Email clients
  • MobiPocket - Free book reading software with 10000 free books
  • Skype

Further programs can be easily added or downloaded using the built in grammar definition dialogs or via XML configuration files.

User interface

Our streamlined and non-intrusive user interface is tightly integrated with the Windows operating system. Extensive effort has been put into “iPod-ising” the user interface – achieving extended functionality through a simple, intuitive, functional and visually pleasing design.

The main application window is transparent and can be shown or hidden with a single voice command at any point in time. Program also provides a windows system tray icon for easy control.

Usability features

AITF Voice has several features that dramatically improve usability.

The "Snooze" mode can be used to stop the application from accepting voice commands. This is essential for example when the user has normal conversation with another person. Snooze mode is activated by saying "snooze". Return from snooze mode is simply done via a "Wake up" voice command. Main application window can be shown and hidden while in snooze mode by simply saying "show" or "hide".

To avoid false matching for some important actions (including wake up, closing windows, etc.), the application supports command confirmations.

Technology

AITF Voice is written in Microsoft .NET and SAPI and will run on Windows XP, Windows Vista and later operating systems.

"The page turning facility on this application has proved to be incredibly useful to me since my disability has rendered it very difficult for me to turn pages and I love to read. In the past I have had to rely on other people to turn pages for me and this has proved very awkward. Now by simply using my voice I can turn pages as I wish and have many thousands of book titles to choose from." George R., London
